PF Player TV Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 4, 2026
PF Player TV is a media player: it doesn't ask you to sign up and has no email-and-password accounts. This policy explains, with no fine print, what data the TV app and the pfplayer.app website use, where it's kept and why. The PF Player app for Android has its own policy at pfplayer.tv.
1. What stays on your TV
- A copy of your playlists, encrypted in the app's storage.
- Your usage: favorites, recents, what you've watched, and your subtitle and guide preferences.
- The catalog and guide: a copy of your source's channels, movies, series and schedule, so the app opens quickly.
None of this is sent to us. If you delete the app, it's gone from the TV.
2. What the app sends to your provider
To show and play your content, the app connects directly to the service you set up, with the credentials you entered, and downloads the program guide from it if your provider offers one. That relationship is between you and your provider, and is governed by their own terms.
3. What our server receives from the TV
To know whether the TV is on a trial or has a plan, and to deliver your playlists, the app contacts our server and sends:
- the TV's MAC address, which identifies which TV each trial, plan and playlist belongs to. That's why, if you reinstall the app or reset the TV, your playlists and plan come back by themselves. We don't use any other TV identifier;
- the TV model and webOS version.
Like any server, the connection's IP address may be kept in technical logs.
4. Your playlists
When you add a playlist at pfplayer.app we store its name, its type, the service address, the username and password, or the M3U playlist address or the file you uploaded, and the guide address if you provide one. Passwords, playlist addresses and files are stored encrypted; the server decrypts them only to deliver them to the TV with that MAC address. To stop anyone from trying other people's MAC addresses, the server limits how many different MAC addresses can be queried from the same connection.
We don't use your playlists for anything else: we don't review them, share them, or connect to your provider with them. When you remove a playlist from the panel or the app, it's deleted from our server.
5. Purchases
You pay at pfplayer.app through PayPal. We never see or store your card or PayPal account details. We keep the order: the TV's MAC address, the plan, the amount, the date, the payment reference and the email PayPal reports to us, to activate the plan, handle refunds and meet accounting obligations.
6. The pfplayer.app website
- The public pages use no cookies, analytics, or third-party fonts or scripts. They only store the language you choose in your browser.
- The playlist panel uses a single session cookie, needed to keep you signed in while you add your playlists. It lasts two hours and is deleted when you sign out.
- To stop anyone from going through other people's MAC addresses, the panel limits how many different MAC addresses can be used from the same IP address in an hour, and counts attempts with MAC addresses that don't exist.
7. What we don't do
- There are no analytics, trackers or ad networks in the app or on the website.
- We don't log which channels, movies or series you watch.
- We don't sell or share your data with third parties, except with PayPal to charge you and when the law requires it.
8. Where it's stored and for how long
Data is stored on a server dedicated to PF Player, reached through Cloudflare. Playlists, until you remove them. The TV record and its plans, while the TV uses the app and afterwards as long as needed to handle claims. Orders, as long as accounting law requires.
9. Your rights
You can delete your playlists from the panel or the app, and everything the app stores on the TV by deleting the app. If you want a copy of what we have about your TV, want it corrected or deleted, email [email protected] with your TV's MAC address.
10. Changes
If what we do with your data changes, we'll update this page and the date above.
